The Letter A

I truly hope the makers of the GRE test  like the beginning of the alphabet because I have only gotten through the vocab flash cards with words beginning with A! Maybe I should shake it up but I like going in order-order and organization are soothing to me-which is essential because the GRE scares the crap out of me. I do not like that one test  sums me up and puts me into number form-I have a lot more going on that my analogy skills. But this is how the world works I guess- so does anyone have any tips on beefing up vocab in a little over a month!?!?!?!

Rocky Road Bars

I went over to my bestie's house for dinner last night, so I had to bring some dessert as a the great guest that I am. It was a totally crappy, rainy day so I thought what is better on a day like this than chocolate! Personally I think chocolate can work for any type of day (crappy or good!)

Now due to the fact that I jump right into recipes and then mid-recipe discover if I have the necessary ingredients ...I made a few tweaks to the recipe! I used walnuts in place of almonds and because it is not hot-cocoa season I had about 6 stale regular sized marshmallows not the minis to work with. But overall- a great success!
Side notes: I decided to cut the marshmallows down to more mini size but this is easier said than done. Knives and/or scissors do not cut marshmallows! I suggest going old-school and using your hands to rip them up! Also the bake time is all off in the recipe. I would bake these bad boys for 18 minutes, then another 6 when you add the marshmallows! And if you are having a blah day, the chocolate will heal you!
